Curriculum
Our main motivation is to help each child reach their full potential and allow them the opportunity to learn about themselves and the world they live in.
Our curriculum is made up of researching, then taking the best most applicable parts of different philosophies for example, The Reggio Emilia approach, and making them our own. We encompass the core values of our community, Jewish heritage and the need to guide our children safely and respectfully while developing a love of learning.
We encourage play as well as more “formal” learning. It is through these two areas that children learn about themselves, others and the important skills needed to be able to interact in their world.
Our curriculum intertwines both Jewish Life and Early Childhood Curriculum. Our Early Childhood Curriculum includes a structure of teacher learning experiences and a more flexible curriculum which reflects the interests of the children, the times we live in and can be seen through the children’s projects which may include art work, stories and learning.
The curriculum constantly questions the needs of the educators, the children and how we work together while keeping in mind the community and the world we live in.
