You can feel the magic the minute you walk into Emanuel Woollahra Preschool.
Our cutting edge, architect designed complex is situated on the leafy campus of the Emanuel Synagogue. It is a centre designed to inspire wonder and creativity, but equally important is the warmth, sense of welcome and joy that is experienced by all.
About Us
EWP is an independent, 60-place centre for ages 2.6 – 5 years of age.
Under the directorship of Bev Smusko and together with our creative staff team, EWP offers a unique, ‘out the box’ approach to early learning that enables each child to realise their potential.
This is achieved through building and nurturing relationships between educators and children, collaboration with families and community and the provision of an enriching and exciting learning environment. We are inspired by our vision of ‘beyachad’ – we share this time together.
We are committed to high quality care and education for all children and view children’s lives as characterised by ‘belonging, being and becoming.’
Our Bush Kinder program brings nature into the hearts and minds of our children, teaching them alongside nature to develop a love and respect of the natural world. This is a key component of our curriculum and way of ‘being’ in our world.

In partnership with Emanuel Synagogue we are a pluralistic community that is welcoming to all.
We offer an inclusive environment with a rich Jewish heritage for our preschool children. This includes Hebrew, celebration of Jewish Festivals, Shabbat and Israeli dancing throughout the year.
