About Us

Where children belong, learn and thrive

Emanuel Woollahra Preschool is an independent, progressive preschool for children aged 2–5 years, where children come first. Through a nurturing and enriching environment, children develop a genuine sense of belonging while building the confidence, independence and skills to learn, grow and thrive.

With a focus on social-emotional learning and academic foundations, Emanuel Woollahra Preschool helps each child build the resilience, curiosity and capabilities needed for a successful transition to primary school. Educators offer personalised guidance, including above-ratio staffing, providing each child with the attention and care they deserve.

This is achieved through building and nurturing relationships between educators and children, collaboration with families and community and the provision of an enriching and exciting learning environment.

We are committed to high quality care and education for all children and view children’s lives as characterised by ‘belonging, being and becoming.’

Our Bush Kinder program brings nature into the hearts and minds of our children, teaching them alongside nature to develop a love and respect of the natural world. This is a key component of our curriculum and way of ‘being’ in our world.

EWP has been rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard (NQS), which reflects its commitment to responsive teaching, warm and trusting relationships, and creating an inspiring environment where every child is valued and encouraged to reach their potential.

Pop in for a visit to experience our ‘education with a difference’ first hand and become a part of our vibrant community.

In partnership with Emanuel Synagogue we are a pluralistic community that is welcoming to all.

We offer an inclusive environment with a rich Jewish heritage for our preschool children. This includes Hebrew, celebration of Jewish Festivals, Shabbat and Israeli dancing throughout the year.
